Why do pregnant women feel tired in her 1st trimester of pregnancy?
It is usual to feel fatigued during the first three months of pregnancy. This is because most of the changes of pregnancy are happening in a woman’s body…her heart is beating faster, her liver and kidneys are working overtime, her breasts are becoming fuller for future lactation and so on.. Fatigue is your body’s way of telling you to slow down. Get enough rest and listen to the signals your body is sending you. Take a daytime nap if possible.
Sometimes tiredness in pregnancy is caused by the decrease in haemoglobin concentration in the blood called anemia, or thyroid disturbances. You need to inform this symptom to your doctor so she can get a blood test for the same.
